DSWD Academy Leads Facilitation of Revived Pantawid RDCW to Strengthen Inter-Agency Collaboration

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Academy served as the overall facilitator of the revived Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Regional Directors' Consultation Workshop (RDCW), held on 19–21 March 2025 at the Asian Institute of Management Conference Center in Makati City. The DSWD Academy, through its support arm for capacity building and institutional development, reaffirmed its commitment to providing technical assistance to 4Ps and other DSWD Operating Bureaus, Services, and Units (OBSUs).

On 14 March 2025, key representatives from the DSWD, various national government agencies, and other groups attended the inaugural meeting of the Steering Committee for the Social Protection, Inclusion, and Gender Equality (SPRING) program. DSWD Academy Leads the Global Celebration of Social Workers

In honor of World Social Work Day, themed "Strengthening Intergenerational Solidarity for Enduring Wellbeing" the DSWD Academy organized a virtual event on 18 March 2025 at DSWD Central Office Quezon City. A total of more than 600 participants joined through Google Meet and Facebook livestream.  The event brought together social workers from 16 DSWD Field Offices, Local Government Units and Non-Government Organizations, Academy Director Atty. Justin Caesar Anthony D. Batocabe, Assistant Secretary Janet P.
Mr. Lars Jorgensen (SFI Founder) provided welcome message and discussed the years of collaboration of DSWD, through 4Ps, and Stairway Foundation, Inc. (SFI).

DSWD Academy, 4Ps and Stairway Foundation Inc. Collaborates on Preventing Child Sexual Abuse E-course

On 26 - 28 February 2025, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) National Program Management Office (NPMO) spearheaded the Writeshop on the Development of Electronic Course on Child Sexual Abuse Protection (CSAP) in collaboration with Stairway Foundation, Incorporated, a Community-based and Residential Resource Learning Center. This activity was participated by 33 participants from the 4Ps Implementers from Field Office National Capital Region, IV-A, MIMAROPA, VIII, Social Technology Bureau (STB), Standards Bureau (SB), Program Management Bureau (PMB), and DSWD Academy.

DSWD Academy Promotes Knowledge Management During Benchmarking of DOLE Regional Office XI

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the DSWD Academy hosted a Knowledge Sharing Session on Knowledge Management (KM) as part of the benchmarking for the 15 participants from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office XI from 19-20 February 2025 at the DSWD Academy facility in Taguig City. The event aimed to enhance DOLE Regional Office XI's KM practices by learning from DSWD's successful implementation of KM systems and mechanisms as a core strategy to enhance the DOLE Region XI’s existing knowledge management practices.

DSWD, BDO Foundation and BSP Collaborates for Financial Education

The Financial Education Learning Sessions, Demonstration, and Writeshop for the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) was conducted on 12-14 February 2025 at the Belamy House, Makati City with 15 participants from the DSWD. This activity was an initiative through the partnership with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Banco De Oro Foundation that aims to enhance financial literacy and empower both DSWD personnel and beneficiaries.

The DSWD KM Portal is a dynamic facility founded to promote the development and sharing of knowledge within the DSWD and its partners. The Portal has vast collection of DSWD Knowledge Products (KPs) and other learning resources on social welfare and social protection.
