Core Group of Specialists (CGS)

CGS was aimed at providing appropriate and relevant technical assistance to the DSWD’s intermediaries and partners, as well as sustaining the agency’s leadership in the development and promotion of its major social welfare programs. These programs are the sectoral areas of the DSWD, namely, Child and Youth Welfare, Family and Community Welfare, Women Welfare, Older Persons and Persons with Disability Welfare, and Disaster Management.

CGS includes specialists along with the functional expertise of the Department such as SWD Policy Development, Social Technology Development, Standards Development and Compliance Monitoring, Direct Service Delivery and Transfer of Technology, Advocacy on Behalf of the Vulnerable Sector, Networking and Partnerships, Resource Generation for SWD Programs, Program Management, and Financial Management.

The CGS are the Department’s experts along with social welfare and development and social protection. They are the Department’s community of practice that provides appropriate and relevant technical assistance to the DSWD’s intermediaries and partners, as well as sustaining the agency’s leadership in the development and promotion of its major social welfare programs. These programs are the sectoral areas of the DSWD, namely, Child and Youth Welfare, Family and Community Welfare, Women Welfare, Older Persons and Persons with Disability Welfare, and Disaster Management.
 

The DSWD KM Portal is a dynamic facility founded to promote the development and sharing of knowledge within the DSWD and its partners. The Portal has vast collection of DSWD Knowledge Products (KPs) and other learning resources on social welfare and social protection.
