DSWD Knowledge Management (KM) Portal

The DSWD KM Portal is a dynamic facility founded to promote the development and sharing of knowledge within the DSWD and its partners. The Portal has a vast collection of DSWD Knowledge Products (KPs) and other learning resources on social welfare and social protection. It is a multi-faceted approach to managing and sharing print, digital, and audio-visual materials that are user-centered and responsive to the needs of the learning community.

The DSWD KM Portal's website is an interactive and virtual facility designed to provide learning opportunities across borders with its downloadable resources, and databases of communities of practice (CoP).

Writeshop for the Development of Social Marketing Operations Manual

The activity is a 5-day workshop aimed at developing/crafting the Social Marketing Operations Manual that would institutionalize the operations of the SMS along social marketing and other communication-related activities. This will be attended by the technical staff from SMS, the Information Officers of OBS in the Central Office, and the Regional Information Officers of the Field Offices.

Training-Workshop on Gender Fair Language Manual Development

This is a 4-day training workshop with the information officers and Gender and Development (GAD) focal persons of the DSWD aimed at addressing gender issues in the Department which affects the communication side. Likewise, the activity aimed at crafting/developing a gender-fair language manual to be used by the Department across regions and in all programs/projects. Specifically, the output of this training workshop will guide the employees and program implementers in gender sensitive terminologies and communication activities.

LXD 101: Training of Trainers and Coaching Sessions on Designing Learning Experiences for Social Welfare and Development (SWD) Programs and other Support Initiatives

LXD 101 is a three-part learning engagement that will be held from June 13-July 15 and implemented through a blended learning methodology. As such, this workshop for internal staff will be focusing on enhancing Communication Strategies and Plan Development for Devolved SWD Programs. During the workshop, there will be Field Validation and Coaching Sessions, and Learning Experience Design Development. This LDI aims to support learning and enable the integration of communications plans as well as the application of the concepts and tools essential in designing learning experiences.

DSWD holds policy forum to discuss new studies, concepts toward inclusive, strengthened social protection

In line with its objective of instituting strengthened social protection in the new normal, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) hosted an online policy forum on March 6, 2023 as a venue for sharing of studies and new concepts by experts from the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), and the Food and Agriculture Organization-World Food Programme (FAO-WFP).

Mabalacat City Studies the DSWD Knowledge Exchange Center in Benchmarking Visit

The Mabalacat City - City Population, Gender and Development Office, conducted a benchmarking visit to the Department of Social Welfare and Development Knowledge Exchange Center (KEC) on 09 February, 2023 with the purpose of establishing their own gender and development focused knowledge management facility.
