DSWD Academy Highlights KM in DICT Engagement

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the DSWD Academy, hosted an online Knowledge Management (KM) Sharing Session as part of a benchmarking activity for 10 participants from the Department of Information and Communications Technology - Knowledge Management Division (DICT-KMD), led by Ms. Ma. Cynthia Faytaren, Officer-in-Charge of DICT-KMD.

“Para sa mga bata, kasama ang mga bata”

On 27 March 2025, child rights advocates gathered together and celebrated the gains of their efforts to fight the Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Children Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM). Para sa mga bata, kasama ang mga bata has been the mantra of the concluding ceremony of the 4-year Global Program initiative implemented by Stairway Foundation Inc. 
During the town hall discussion, Asec. Janet P. Armas shares key insights and the DSWD’s innovative Financial Education strategies and plans on financial education strategies with DSWD staff and LSWDOs, empowering them to create lasting change in the lives of the communities they serve.

On  March 21, 2025, The Kita-kita: A Gathering of Financial Education Partner organized by BDO Foundation (BDOF) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas was conducted at BDO Valero Towers Makati City. The session brought together public and private sector partners to discuss insights gained from implementing financial education programs for different sectors in the country.

DSWD Academy Leads Facilitation of Revived Pantawid RDCW to Strengthen Inter-Agency Collaboration

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Academy served as the overall facilitator of the revived Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Regional Directors' Consultation Workshop (RDCW), held on 19–21 March 2025 at the Asian Institute of Management Conference Center in Makati City. The DSWD Academy, through its support arm for capacity building and institutional development, reaffirmed its commitment to providing technical assistance to 4Ps and other DSWD Operating Bureaus, Services, and Units (OBSUs).

DSWD Academy Leads the Global Celebration of Social Workers

In honor of World Social Work Day, themed "Strengthening Intergenerational Solidarity for Enduring Wellbeing" the DSWD Academy organized a virtual event on 18 March 2025 at DSWD Central Office Quezon City. A total of more than 600 participants joined through Google Meet and Facebook livestream.  The event brought together social workers from 16 DSWD Field Offices, Local Government Units and Non-Government Organizations, Academy Director Atty. Justin Caesar Anthony D. Batocabe, Assistant Secretary Janet P.

The DSWD KM Portal is a dynamic facility founded to promote the development and sharing of knowledge within the DSWD and its partners. The Portal has vast collection of DSWD Knowledge Products (KPs) and other learning resources on social welfare and social protection.
