The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Academy served as the overall facilitator of the revived Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Regional Directors' Consultation Workshop (RDCW), held on 19–21 March 2025 at the Asian Institute of Management Conference Center in Makati City. The DSWD Academy, through its support arm for capacity building and institutional development, reaffirmed its commitment to providing technical assistance to 4Ps and other DSWD Operating Bureaus, Services, and Units (OBSUs).
The RDCW was spearheaded by the 4Ps National Program Management Office and marked the re-establishment of a critical platform for regional and national alignment. The event gathered Regional Directors from nine partner agencies, namely the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
This three-day workshop served as a venue for sharing updates, good practices, and innovative strategies to enhance program implementation. Moreover, it played a vital role in promoting inter-agency convergence and collaboration towards the long-term goals of the Pantawid Program.
DSWD Academy’s presence and leadership, together with the facilitation expertise of former DSWD Undersecretary Florita R. Villar and Ms. Diana R. Badillo, significantly contributed to the success of the workshop by ensuring active engagement and dynamic discussions among the participants.
Rosylyn M. Arnigo, head of the 4Ps Capability Building Division (CBD), also emphasized their unwavering support to Pantawid and other OBSUs, reinforcing the importance of partnerships and capacity enhancement in all DSWD activities.
The RDCW is a pivotal milestone in aligning regional efforts with national objectives, fostering cohesive strategies and shared goals across sectors to strengthen implementation and achieve the long-term aspirations of the Pantawid Program for Filipino families.
