The Social Welfare Institutional Development Bureau does it again! After sharing the fruits of its Knowledge Management experience to the Office of the Vice President of the Philippines last May 2023, the Bureau was invited for another knowledge-sharing session by the same illustrious office. This time in an activity that they dubbed as “AARnyare: Conducting After Action Reviews”, held at Manaul Conference Room of OVP Central Office.
DSWD Shares Expertise in Building the Core Group of Specialists
DSWD is one of the few government agencies that has painstakingly honed its ability to create a core of competent specialists as part of its Knowledge Management (KM). This has drawn the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) interest to seek the Department’s assistance in benchmarking its process as basis for the Commission’s management of its Knowledge Experts. DSWD XI Explores Advancing Social Welfare through Research and Collaboration
The DSWD Field Office XI through its Social Welfare and Development Learning Network (SWDLNet) held its Social Welfare and Development (SWD) Forum cum Research Congress last 25 April 2023 at the World Palace Hotel, Ecoland, Davao City. This activity is aligned with the steering function of the Department that provides technical assistance to partners and stakeholders executing programs on SWD and Social Protection. On the other hand, the Research Congress was aligned with the role of the Department as monitor on the implementation of SWD legislations.
DSWD Academy Launches Series of Trainings on Case Management
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) - through its professional learning institute the DSWD Academy, has recently concluded the first batch in a series of training on Case Management. The course “Training on Social Work Case Management: Enhancing Working with Individuals” was held from 19 - 23 June 2023 at the Social Welfare and Development Center for Asia and the Pacific (SWADCAP) with 31 social workers from the local government units (LGUs) nationwide.
