The Social Welfare Institutional Development Bureau (SWIDB) held its annual Knowledge Fair on the 3rd of May 2023 at the Magiliw Auditorium in the DSWD Central Office. The featured topics in the Knowledge Fair focused on the Department’s initiatives on Ease of Doing Business (EODB) and the Quality Management System (QMS).
SWIDB challenged itself by using a hybrid methodology of online and face to face experiences for the conduct of the Knowledge Fair. The activity was attended by 205 participants, with 123 participants tuning in from the DSWD field offices, while 82 participants came in from the DSWD Central Office.
The Knowledge Fair kicked off in the morning with the sharing of good practices from the DSWD offices and Field Offices. Some of the practices shared were the Implementation of a Data-Dashboard for a Real-Time Program Status Update from the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS), Field Office Caraga’s My PORTAL, the Program Management Bureau’s DARIS and Field Office IV-A CALABARZON’s Da PReP.
Later in the day, Assistant Secretary Rodolfo M. Santos, the Chairperson of the DSWD Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART) and the Department’s Representative on the Quality Management System presented DSWD’s plans and activities in regard to EODB and QMS. Some of the topics he discussed were the Philippine Quality Awards, the Anti-Red Tape Authority’s Report Card Survey as well as the scheduled activities for ISO and CART. The participants of the Knowledge Fair were also given a quick tour through the KM Portal and the Electronic Learning Management System.
