DSWD Knowledge Management (KM) Portal

The DSWD KM Portal is a dynamic facility founded to promote the development and sharing of knowledge within the DSWD and its partners. The Portal has a vast collection of DSWD Knowledge Products (KPs) and other learning resources on social welfare and social protection. It is a multi-faceted approach to managing and sharing print, digital, and audio-visual materials that are user-centered and responsive to the needs of the learning community.

The DSWD KM Portal's website is an interactive and virtual facility designed to provide learning opportunities across borders with its downloadable resources, and databases of communities of practice (CoP).

UP-NCPAG Engage in Knowledge-Sharing Session with DSWD on Social Welfare Programs

On December 16, 2024, 21 master's students in Public Administration, accompanied by Professor Alicia Celestino from the University of the Philippines National College of Public Administration and Governance, participated in a knowledge-sharing session with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). This session aimed to enhance the student's understanding and equip them with the practical knowledge necessary for effective contributions to social welfare policy formulation, strategic planning, and program development.

BUCSSP Social Work Students Engage in Knowledge-Sharing Session with DSWD on Social Welfare Programs

A total of 108 students with 6 faculty members from  Bicol Uinversity College of Social Sciences and Philosophy in Region V, studying Social Work, recently enhanced their understanding of social welfare and development through a knowledge-sharing session focused on the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) held on 22 November 22,2024.

DSWD Hosts Successful 2024 Knowledge Fair for External Partners

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) held a successful Knowledge Fair on 21-22 November 2024, at Ciudad Christia Resort 9 Waves in San Mateo, Rizal, with over 600 participants attending both onsite and online from DSWD field offices, municipalities, national government agencies, private sector and local government units nationwide. The activity provides an opportunity to share knowledge and identify practices which they may replicate.

DSWD Academy Conference Trailblazing Social Work Practitioner Competency

Undersecretary Denise FB Bernos-Bragas, MD of the Standards and Capacity Building Group (SCBG) highlighted the importance of aligning local practices with international standards to foster positive community impact.

The Conference featured a keynote address from Felomina "Feli" Lacorte, Managing Director of Flaglines Australia, who discussed the theme “Transversing Diversity: International Standards for Inclusive Social Work.” Lacorte stressed the significance of competency-based training and culturally responsive practices, especially for vulnerable populations like refugees.
