DSWD Knowledge Management (KM) Portal

The DSWD KM Portal is a dynamic facility founded to promote the development and sharing of knowledge within the DSWD and its partners. The Portal has a vast collection of DSWD Knowledge Products (KPs) and other learning resources on social welfare and social protection. It is a multi-faceted approach to managing and sharing print, digital, and audio-visual materials that are user-centered and responsive to the needs of the learning community.

The DSWD KM Portal's website is an interactive and virtual facility designed to provide learning opportunities across borders with its downloadable resources, and databases of communities of practice (CoP).

Certificate Course on Disaster Response: Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM)

The training on CCCM is very relevant to the LGUs who are the frontliner in implementing this at the local level. The training aims to provide updates for the training participants on the implementation of CCCM to be aligned with international standards on disaster response. Specifically, the Local Social Welfare and Development Office social workers will benefit from this training since they are the camp managers in evacuation centers. This training will enhance their competencies as camp managers.

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Benchmarks the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Knowledge Management System

On June 7, 2024, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) held a virtual benchmarking session with the Department of Social and Welfare Development's (DSWD) Knowledge Management (KM) system supervised by the Social Welfare Institutional Development Bureau (SWIDB). The virtual session was attended by three (3) SEC staff led by Knowledge Management Officer IV Ms. Portia Gema A. Abad, and six (6) SWIDB-KMD staff led by Knowledge Management Officer-In-Charge, Ms. Norilix M. Razalan.

Officials from the Government of Timor-Leste and Malaysia Gain Insights from DSWD on Social Welfare

On 15 May 2024, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) facilitated an insightful knowledge exchange session with officials from the Government of Timor-Leste and Malaysia. The event was organized by the Social Welfare Institutional Development Bureau (SWIDB) at the Katapatan Board Room, DSWD, Central Office.

124 Students of Two (2) Universities Explores DSWD

DSWD Consults with 930 Local Government Units (LGUs) to Improve Service Delivery

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the Social Welfare Institutional Development Bureau (SWIDB) conducted consultation-workshops with 930 Local Government Units through the Local Social Welfare and Development Offices (LSWDOs) covering the provinces, cities and municipalities. Three sets of consultations were participated by LGUs coming from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao island clusters, which were conducted on 1-3, 15-17 and 22-24 April 2024 at the Widus Hotel, Clark Pampanga.
