SWIDB kicks off consultation workshops on competency assessment

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through its training arm– the Social Welfare Institutional Development Bureau– has recently held a 9-day consultative workshop series on competency assessment, which ran for two weeks from 14 March to 24 March 2022 via the video conferencing platform, Zoom. 

Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between DSWD, PASWI and ALSWDOPI

The Department of Social Welfare and Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Philippine Association of Social Workers, Inc. (PASWI) and Association of Local Social Welfare and Development Officers of the Philippines, Inc. (ALSWADOPI) on 22 April 2022. The partnership aims to both parties to work together more closely towards one common goal which is to improve the delivery of social welfare and enhance the social work profession.

Consultation-Dialogue cum updating on New Laws and Issuances with Honorable Judges and Prosecutors of Regional Trial Courts XI

Onse annually gathers judiciaries and legal personalities from the respective Regional Trial Courts for a dialogue and updating of laws and issuance along social welfare programs and services. Honorable Judges and Prosecutors, social welfare officers from the Office of the Clerk of Courts (OCC), Local Social Welfare and Development Offices (LSWDO), and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) never failed to commit and actively participate in this greatly anticipated activity.

DSWD Field Office X conducts Regional SWD Forum

The DSWD Field Office X conducted a Social Welfare and Development (SWD) Forum on December 13-14, 2021 which was attended by 60 representatives from the Local Social Welfare and Development Offices in the region. The SWD Forum provided a platform to discuss the updates on operations of SWD programs, raise the concerns and challenges on service delivery, and formulate strategies in the implementation of the devolution. 

RLRC FO1 Champs Knowledge Management

One of the concepts of the Knowledge Management (KM) is that it is a major process in creating an environment where people’s experience and wisdom as well as the internal processes on social protection and social welfare programs delivery are valued, stored, and shared. The establishment of the Regional Learning Resource Center (RLRC) Field Office I was inspired by the perception of KM wherein it envisions to provide an environment for continuing innovation and learning within the Department.  

DSWD Field Office Caraga launches Project DIVA

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office Caraga launched its virtual program dubbed as Project DIVA or the DSWD-Caraga Institute and Virtual Academy which serves as the official hub for all the regional institutional development and capacity building activities for both internal and external partners.

The DSWD KM Portal is a dynamic facility founded to promote the development and sharing of knowledge within the DSWD and its partners. The Portal has vast collection of DSWD Knowledge Products (KPs) and other learning resources on social welfare and social protection.
