2022 Social Welfare and Development Journal

The Social Welfare and Development (SWD) Journal is the official journal of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. The journal highlights studies initiated by DSWD and other stakeholders in regards to social protection and social welfare and development.

For the journal’s 2022 issue, two of the articles in the journal feature studies that examine the COVID pandemic’s impact on SWD programs and the government’s response. The topic of the devolution of programs from the national to the local government and its impact on DSWD’s programs, operations, policies and the sectors they serve are also featured in the other two articles in this journal.
