The guide book which was published in 1992, is intended to help social work practitioners as they handle cases of street children. In the course of their work, practitioners may come to realize that working with street children, especially those with special problems would require advanced practice.

The case studies presented in the guide book were contributed by social work practitioners. These feature the needed principles and theories as well as the problems and realities faced by practitioners on the field.
