The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) developed this Handbook that will guide the production of documents and publications created by and within the Department. The Handbook sets standards for writing and editing done across all offices in DSWD. It specifically aims to improve the quality and observe the consistency in internal and external documents; simplify the preparation of written materials; address common grammatical issues identified, and harmonize the arbitrary styles from the different offices.
