Originally developed by the Bureau of Women’s Welfare, the Modular Packages for the Self-Enhancement of Socially Disadvantaged Women consist of seven modules focusing on personal development, maternal and child care, environmental sanitation, leadership, and livelihood skills. Over two decades later, the Social Technology Bureau spearheaded the enhancement of these packages to address emerging gender issues, align with newly enacted women’s rights laws, and integrate gender mainstreaming. The updated modules aim to empower women and promote gender equality through a more responsive and inclusive approach, developed with input from key stakeholders and implementers.
