Marillac Hills is one of DSWD's residential care facility that caters to young women who are victims of abuse, exploitation, and in conflict with the law. In this good practice documentation, Marillac Hills incorporated gardening and livestock raising as a strategy to develop the adapative behavior of the children temporarily resing at the Center. Later on, these activities did not only serve as a diversion from their boredom but also a source of productive experience that can enhance their sense of responsibility and focus. These activities are complemented with the provision of continuous social counseling, psychological intervention, and activities of daily living.
