Core Group Specialist
CGS was aimed at providing appropriate and relevant technical assistance to the DSWD’s intermediaries and partners, as well as sustaining the agency’s leadership in the development and promotion of its major social welfare programs. These programs are the sectoral areas of the DSWD, namely, Child and Youth Welfare, Family and Community Welfare, Women Welfare, Older Persons and Persons with Disability Welfare, and Disaster Management.
CGS includes specialists along the functional expertise of the Department such as SWD Policy Development, Social Technology Development, Standards Development and Compliance Monitoring, Direct Service Delivery and Transfer of Technology, Advocacy on Behalf of the Vulnerable Sector, Networking and Partnerships, Resource Generation for SWD Programs, Program Management, and Financial Management.
The Social Welfare and Development Learning Network (SWD L-Net) envisions a learning networking that provides accessible, relevant, and quality SWD capacity building programs. Its mission is to enhance the capacity of organizations, groups, and individuals that are engaged in poverty alleviation and social protection.
SWD L-Net covers organizations, agencies, schools, and individuals providing and conducting training and related capacity building programs on social welfare and development, primarily on poverty alleviation and social protection in the in the country.
