Core Group of Specialists (CGS)
The CGS are the Department’s experts along social welfare and development and social protection. They are the Department’s community of practice that provide appropriate and relevant technical assistance to the DSWD’s intermediaries and partners, as well as sustaining the agency’s leadership in the development and promotion of its major social welfare programs. These programs are the sectoral areas of the DSWD, namely, Child and Youth Welfare, Family and Community Welfare, Women Welfare, Older Persons and Persons with Disability Welfare, and Disaster Management.
Social Welfare and Development Learning Network (SWD L-Net)
The Social Welfare and Development Learning Network (SWD L-Net) envisions a learning network that provides accessible, relevant, and quality SWD capacity building programs. Its mission is to enhance the capacity of organizations, groups, and individuals that are engaged in poverty alleviation and social protection. The network covers organizations, agencies, schools, and individuals providing and conducting training and related capacity building programs on social welfare and development, primarily on poverty alleviation and social protection in the country.
Regional Learning Resource Centers (RLRCs)
The RLRC is a component of the DSWD’s knowledge management program and supports its vision to become a hub for best practices, learning exchange and growth programs in the Asia Pacific Region. It provides a venue for exchange and sharing of knowledge products and will also showcase the current status of the implementation of social protection programs and services in the region.
