The DSWD through the DSWD Academy, hosted a Knowledge Sharing Session with the the House of Representatives on 28 January 2026, at the DSWD Academy in Taguig City, strengthening inter-agency collaboration on institutional learning and capacity building. The session aimed to provide the House of Representatives with insights into the organizational structure, operational systems, and facility management of the DSWD Academy as it prepares for the establishment of its own Legislative Training Center. In his welcome message, DSWD Academy Director IV Atty. Justin Caesar Anthony D. Batocabe emphasized the Academy’s role as the Department’s hub for professional development, knowledge sharing, and the standardization of competencies among social welfare practitioners. House of Representatives Executive Director Atty. Jose Marmoi F. Salonga likewise highlighted the importance of shared learning and best practices in building sustainable training institutions. The activity featured presentations on the Academy’s operations, facilities, and standard operating procedures, followed by an open forum and guided tour, highlighting the government’s continued commitment to strengthening human resource development and effective public service delivery.
