DSWD Knowledge Management (KM) Portal

The DSWD KM Portal is a dynamic facility founded to promote the development and sharing of knowledge within the DSWD and its partners. The Portal has a vast collection of DSWD Knowledge Products (KPs) and other learning resources on social welfare and social protection. It is a multi-faceted approach to managing and sharing print, digital, and audio-visual materials that are user-centered and responsive to the needs of the learning community.

The DSWD KM Portal's website is an interactive and virtual facility designed to provide learning opportunities across borders with its downloadable resources, and databases of communities of practice (CoP).

STI College-Cotabato Benchmarks with DSWD Academy as Pioneer to All Social Work Program in 66 Campuses

On 7 October 2025, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) warmly welcomed faculty members from STI Cotabato’s Social Work Department for a Knowledge Sharing Session at the Katapatan Board Room, 4th floor, Magiliw Building. Assistant Bureau Director Precilia A. Docuyanan of the DSWD Academy opened the event by welcoming the delegates. The session featured presentations on DSWD’s innovative programs and projects by Ms. Joseph Salavarria, Social Welfare Officer (SWO) III of the Social Technology Bureau (STB), and on child protection and online abuse prevention by Ms.

DSWD FO-CAR Relaunches Regional Learning Resource Center

Baguio City, 15 September 2025 – The Department of Social Welfare and Development–Cordillera Administrative Region (DSWD-CAR) formally relaunched its Regional Learning and E-Learning Resource Center (RLRC) at the DSWD-CAR Training Center, 40 North Drive, Baguio City. Mr. Jerry Julian,  KM Focal Person and Division Chief of the Innovations, led the launch of the RLRC. The event was attended by officials from the Central Office, regional unit heads, and representatives from partner institutions.

DSWD Academy, UNICEF And University of the Philippines Open University Jointly Pilot Tested the Executive Course on Child Protection

The DSWD Academy, in partnership with UNICEF Philippines and the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), successfully conducted a 5-days Executive Course on Child Protection on 8-12 September 2025 at Citadines Hotel, Roces Avenue, Quezon City for the local government leaders and representatives of the Multi Disciplinary Team from the Municipalities of Mauban and Brookespoint, City of Talisay and Province of Quezon and Cebu. This aims to strengthen competencies of child protection professionals on creating and strengthening of a functional child protection system. 

DSWD Dialogues with 295 Social Work Students in Benguet Province

The DSWD Academy successfully conducted the Dialogue with Social Work Students on 2 September 2025, at the Crown Legacy Hotel in Baguio City, which gathered a total of 295 Social Work students, attending onsite and via Zoom.
