DSWD Knowledge Management (KM) Portal

The DSWD KM Portal is a dynamic facility founded to promote the development and sharing of knowledge within the DSWD and its partners. The Portal has a vast collection of DSWD Knowledge Products (KPs) and other learning resources on social welfare and social protection. It is a multi-faceted approach to managing and sharing print, digital, and audio-visual materials that are user-centered and responsive to the needs of the learning community.

The DSWD KM Portal's website is an interactive and virtual facility designed to provide learning opportunities across borders with its downloadable resources, and databases of communities of practice (CoP).

DSWD Academy Hosts Knowledge Sharing Session with House of Representatives to Strengthen Institutional Learning Systems

The DSWD through the DSWD Academy, hosted a Knowledge Sharing Session with the the House of Representatives on 28 January 2026, at the DSWD Academy in Taguig City, strengthening inter-agency collaboration on institutional learning and capacity building. The session aimed to provide the House of Representatives with insights into the organizational structure, operational systems, and facility management of the DSWD Academy as it prepares for the establishment of its own Legislative Training Center. DSWD, University of the Philippines ink MOU to strengthen learning, research, and social protection and development initiatives

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the University of the Philippines (UP) formalized a strategic partnership  on 2 February 2026 at the DSWD Central Office Auditorium through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen learning, research, and knowledge-building initiatives in support of social development and protection programs. The event was organized by the DSWD Academy, headed by Director Justin Caesar Anthony D.

DSWD Academy Offers Paradigm for PCW to Shape Future GAD Training Institute

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Academy welcomed officials from the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) on 4 December 2025 for a benchmarking activity as a paradigm on the establishment of the Gender and Development Training and Research Institute (GAD-TRI). Held at the RSIDG Conference Room, the session aimed to provide institutional models, operational insights, and best practices that may guide PCW in developing a structured, sustained, and scalable mechanism for professionalized GAD capacity development. Future Social Workers from UP Diliman Get Firsthand Look at DSWD Programs and Residential Care Services

A total of eighteen participants joined the Academic Field Activity (AFA) and Knowledge Sharing Sessions with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Academy on 5 December 2025 at the Protective Services Bureau (PSB) Conference Room. The delegation included BS Social Work students from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, led by Asst. Prof. Hazel S. Cometa-Lamberte, Ph.D. of the UP College of Social Work and Community Development.
